Its surprisingly easy to make this beautiful Apple Rose Tart, but it looks great and tastes great. Great for impressing guests or just enjoying a tasty dessert by yourself
Ingredients:
- 1 sheet puff pastry
- 3-4 large red apples, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup apricot preserves
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- Powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375F 190C
Thaw puff pastry according to package instructions
In a small saucepan, heat apricot preserves, water, lemon juice, and cinnamon over low heat until melted and combined
Roll out the puff pastry sheet and cut into strips about 2 inches wide
Spread a thin layer of the apricot mixture over each strip
Arrange apple slices along one edge of each strip, overlapping slightly
Fold the bottom half of the pastry strip over the apple slices
Roll up the strip tightly to form a rose shape, then place it in a muffin tin
Repeat with remaining strips and apple slices
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the apples are tender
Let cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar
Serve warm and enjoy
