Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef 80% lean
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 slices of cheese optional
- Lettuce, tomato, onion, and condiments for topping
Instructions:
Set your grill or skillet on medium-high heat to begin
Split the ground beef into 4 equal pieces and shape them into patties while the grill heats up
They will shrink while theyre cooking, so make sure theyre a little bigger than the buns
On both sides, sprinkle the patties with a lot of salt and pepper
To get the burgers medium-rare to medium-done, cook them for about 4 to 5 minutes on each side on the grill or in a skillet
In the last minute of cooking, you can put a slice of cheese on top of each patty if you want to
On the grill, toast the buns for one to two minutes, until theyre just slightly browned
Put the cooked patties on the bottom half of the buns to make your burgers
On top of the patties, put lettuce, tomato, onion, and any other toppings you like
Put the top half of the buns on top of the things that have been put together
Enjoy the burgers while they are still hot
