This Brown Butter Cream Cheese Dip is a rich and indulgent treat perfect for parties, gatherings, or simply indulging in a delicious snack. The browned butter adds a nutty depth of flavor to the creamy cream cheese base, while a touch of powdered sugar and vanilla extract sweeten it just right. The optional toasted pecans provide a delightful crunch and extra layer of flavor.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup 1 stick unsalted butter
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans, toasted optional

Instructions:

Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring every now and then

For another 5 to 7 minutes, or until the butter turns golden brown and smells nutty, keep cooking it

Take the butter that has turned brown off the heat and let it cool down a bit

Beat the softened cream cheese in a bowl until it is smooth and creamy

Add the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt one teaspoon at a time, mixing well after each addition

Blend the brown butter with the cream cheese until it is completely mixed in

Add the chopped pecans if you want to

Put the dip in a bowl that will be used for serving and put it in the fridge for at least 30 minutes

If you want, you can add more toasted pecans as a garnish

Spread it on crackers, pretzels, fruit slices, or cookies and serve them
